A spacious attic apartment in Berlin-Mitte has been converted into a new family home. Built-in furniture elements and a new glass partition wall make way for storage niches and interesting features such as a hidden dressing room, extendable sauna, home office, tv-lounge, and an integrated bench in the kitchen as well as beds for the children. There is now enough space for common activities of the family as well as “hideouts” for each family member to escape into a more private world. Powerful colors have been chosen for the built-ins, upholstery and feature painted walls to compliment the warm shade of the existing parquet floor and to create a pleasant color space that emphasizes a freshly created atmosphere.
