Florence Girod

For almost 40 years, music has been performed in the Friedenau Chamber Music Hall on historical musical instruments, allowing audiences to experience the sound of music from the 17th to early 19th centuries. Thanks to the combination of space and sound, the concerts have become a cultural trademark of the district and have gained national and international recognition. The intimate atmosphere of the hall creates a special kind of musical experience with close contact to the music and its performers that no big chamber music hall can offer.

To enhance the entrance area and improve the working situation of the musicians, we designed a reception and bar area that can be opened up for music events and closed again during practice times. A spacious storage area was developed for musical instruments and sheet music.
