Surrounded by a wonderful garden, a spacious villa from the seventies outside of Hamburg has been refurbished to suit the needs of the family living in. The parents are moved into the upper part of the home with a bedroom, dressing room, bathroom and office. The kids get to take over the lower level of the house. Minimal built-in elements maintain the openness of the space while providing a colourful accent. The existing kitchen has been opened to the hall with the addition of a dining table. Terrazzo inspired grey floor tiles and a recovered window in the kitchen connect this common space to the garden area. The reduced in-built furniture elements in fitting room and kitchen are combined with favourite furniture pieces of the family.
